The business officially started in 1990 taking on custom orders.
By the year 1999, Brubaker started seeking out dealers and building artist relations with top notch national players.  All instruments are built starting as rough slabs of wood and are painstakingly machined by hand, using templates and pin routers.

Many of the tools are custom made or modified to accomplish certain tasks accurately and efficiently (i.e.-24 fret fingerboard slotting saw, fingerboard radius sander, custom neck router bits, etc.).  In 2003, the company suffered a complete loss due to fire but maintained the course through the next few years.

Since 2006, Brubaker Guitars is back up to speed and is preparing to ramp up all it's production efforts into making the finest handmade instruments available
