BENINCASO MODEL M 5-STRING FRETLESS
This bass is one of the basses made by Michele Benincaso in 2003
and is completely hand made, normally based on a customer
specification and is a unique instrument, with has an unlimited spec.
as it is the customer who set the limit!
It serves as a demonstration instrument and is not for sale.
The specification is as follows:
Body wood: Italian cherry
Top wood: Sapele mahogany and spalted maple and walnut
Neck wood: 5 pieces mahogany/maple/padouk with 2 bars carbon fiber
Fretboard: Rosewood fretless
Structure: Neck through body
Pickup : Bartolini double coil, plus a Piezo system
Electronics: Bartolini vol./tone switch 3 way (parallel humbucker,
serial humbucker, single coil)
Bridge: Purple heart and rosewood saddle
Nut: Carbon fiber
Tuners: Black
Finish: High gloss
Sound: Warm, "acoustic" conseption
